Sample content
[Draft wording for David to finalise before launch.]
We want everyone to be able to use this website. It has been built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What that means in practice
- You can use the whole site with a keyboard. There is a "Skip to main content" link at the top of every page.
- Text has strong colour contrast, and you can enlarge it to 200% without losing anything.
- Every image has a text description.
- Almost all of the site works without JavaScript. The news filter and the menu button on small screens use it; without it you see every news story, and a link to the menu at the foot of the page. The contact form needs JavaScript, because its spam check does; without it the page gives our email address instead.
- [To confirm: the contact form's spam check is provided by Cloudflare, which says that it meets WCAG 2.2 at level AA. Our own tests can't look inside it.]
- Smooth scrolling is switched off if your device asks for reduced motion.
How we tested it

Flyers and other documents
[Wording to be confirmed: whether the PDF flyers meet the same standard, and how to ask for one in another format.]
